Kydd Bass Tips

EQ: All “EQ” is from the amp or pre-amp. From a “flat” setting, try cutting the highs and boosting the bottom. A small bass pedal like the Boss or Fishman is recommended.

Kydd Basses are set up to be played with a lighter attack.

Strings: Kydd uses D’Addario flat wound “Chromes” electric bass strings.

To replace a string, loosen the thumb screw tuner at one end and the string clamp at the other end using the 3mm Allen wrench included. Place the ball end of the string into the “jaw” of the tuner and the other end into the string clamp groove. Pull the string snug and tighten the string clamp set screw with the Allen wrench. Change strings one at a time to keep the bridge and pick-up in place. Cut off the excess string.

WARNING: THE CUT STRING STUBBLE CAN BE SHARP!

Packing: Use the neck cover to protect the neck from the stand when folded in the case.

All Kydd bass parts except for strings are guaranteed for two years.
